In the past year as competitive electric generation supply pricing dramatically increased I decided to shop around for better pricing and found I was able to reduce my cost per kWh 33% in 1 month. That’s $ 25 in 1 month, and almost $ 300 for 1 year – if the prices stay the same – but they will not.
The price for electric supply will continue to fluctuate, similar to what we have seen in gas prices at the pump. As a consumer I’ve decided to regularly check on what I pay for electricity and continue to exercise my choice.
I’ve also decided to become a registered agent with Gulf Electricity to help other consumers – residential and businesses, to exercise their right to choose. If you’re interested in managing your electric supply costs better, go to Gulf Electricity and follow their 5 step process. You will be able to look at pricing, term options, and compare your current rate to the Gulf Electricity rate options available to you.
We monitor what we pay for groceries regularly. Now with the ability to look at pricing on the Internet – it’s just as easy to monitor what we pay for electricity – and compare our options. If you have any questions about the Gulf Electricity program, feel free to give me a call at 508-778-7700.
